Is it safe to hire a dog walker or pet sitter during the COVID-19 pandemic?


Things have changed a bunch ever since COVID-19. It is actually much safer to hire a PROFESSIONAL dog walker or pet sitter if you are in need of pet care, than to rely on a hobbyist pet sitter, friend, or family member. At Lefty's we have completed the COVID-19 Certification for Professional Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers through PSI and have many new policies and procedures in place to keep you and your pets safe while providing the care that your pet needs.




Are you certified in Pet CPR and First Aid?


Yes! All of our pack members have completed a certification course in Pet First Aid and CPR.




How do I schedule services?


As a new client, all you have to do is click on "Book a Meet and Greet!" and fill out the requested information and pick your preferred meeting date and time. Meet and Greets are free and we will go over the services, days, dates, and times you are requesting services for. As an existing client, you can easily and conveniently schedule services online in Time to Pet, or in your Time to Pet app! For last minute appointments, please text us at (404) 709-4885.




How do I cancel or request changes to my services?


You can do all of that (and more) online at Time to Pet or in the app! You can also ALWAYS text us directly at (404) 709-4885.




My cat is very independent and low maintenance, can you just check on her every other day?


At Lefty's, it is our mission to provide outstanding care for you and your pet. In order to accomplish this, we do NOT provide "every other day" service for out of town clients. If you are out of town, it is our policy to visit with your pet at LEAST once a day. This ensures the safety and security of your home, as well as your beloved best friend. Checking in at LEAST once a day allows us to ensure that your home is secure, gives us the opportunity to check that there is no sudden damage, that the temperature is controlled, that your pet is safe and happy, and that your pet is given the attention and love they may be missing without you there.




My parent's dog is staying with me for the week, can you walk him too?


Of course! We will just need the permission and signature of his owner.




Will my dog be walked at the same time every day?


While we can not guarantee that your dog will have exactly the same appointment time every day, we do our best to keep things as consistent as possible. We provide services in time "blocks" or windows of about two hours. Our time blocks are: Early Morning - 7 AM - 9 AM Morning - 9 AM - 11 AM Mid-Day - 11 AM - 1 PM Afternoon - 1 PM - 3 PM Late Afternoon - 3 PM - 5 PM Evening - 5 PM - 7 PM So if you request a Mid-Day appointment, it is guaranteed your service will begin between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM. Pets that are particularly young, old, or that have special needs are an exception, and will be accommodated with more specific times.




Do you walk in all weather conditions?


We walk rain or shine, but there are certain conditions that we do not walk in, for the safety and well-being of your pet. We do not walk in storms where there is thunder or lightning and we do not walk in extreme temperatures of over 90℉ or below 20℉. Instead, we spend a maximum of 10 minutes outside to accommodate potty needs and then spend any remaining time playing, socializing, and having fun! All pets are individuals and some pets may have different needs. We respect what is best for the individual pet.
